Experience Kunming
Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province, is situated on the altitude of almost 2000 metres above the sea. Distinguished for its sunny, pleasant weather, fascinating highland scenes and sights, as well as - being one of the cradles of southwest civilization - many historical relics, Kunming is often called the "Spring City”, or "City of Eternal Spring". It became one of the ten key tourist cities of China.
"City of Eternal Spring" on the Tropic of Cancer The most well-known scenic spots are the Stone Forest, Jiuxiang Caves, the Dianchi Lake and the site of '99 International Horticultural Exposition. Historical monuments, that became mayor tourist attractions are: Yuantong Temple - Kunming's largest temple with the original structure dating from Tang Dynasty, Grand View Mansion, and Bamboo Temple.
